If you want to bid online, you´ll first need to register. Registration is free and easy. As part of the registration process, you will need to confirm your email address by clicking on the link in the confirmation email sent to your account.
Once you´re confirmed: congratulations - you´ve registered with Bidserk.

Charge-up your account with bids
Each bid costs just $0.75c, available in "BidPacks" of 30, 50, 100, 300 and 700. Pick the size of BidPack you want and decide how you want to pay: either with a credit , or via PayPal.

Pick an auction
What will it be? A brand new 42" plasma TV? The latest laptop computer? Or maybe a new leather handbag? Pick your product and go for it! You'll always find a selection of our most exciting auctions on the homepage, or you can browse through the categories to find just what you're looking for.

How does the BidBuddy decide when exactly to place my Bids?

BidBuddys are designed to be as cost-efficient as possible when bidding. That’s why they wait until the last hour of an auction before placing bids on your behalf.

When there are two or more BidBuddys set on the same auction, they alternate placing their bids until one comes out on top. Of course, both the price and time remaining on the auction increase with EACH bid placed by a BidBuddy.

You’ll want to remember a few things about using BidBuddies:
• You’ll need to allocate at least two bids when setting a BidBuddy: otherwise, might as well just use the single bid option
• Your maximum price must be above the current end price.
• Once the bidding has reached the ‘Minimum Price’ at which you instructed your BidBuddy to start bidding, you can no longer cancel your bids.

How do I cancel a BidBuddy?

Provided the auction hasn’t reached your BidBuddy’s ‘Minimum Price’ threshold, you can click “My Bidaggle” from the top menu and then select “My BidBuddies” on the left side. Cancel your BidBuddy by clicking ‘Delete’ next to the appropriate BidBuddy listing.

Why did the auction end before my ‘Maximum Price’ was reached?

Remember we mentioned BidBuddies are designed to be frugal? Well, in order to control the spending of your BidBuddies, they are told to use no more bids than the ‘Number of Bids to Use’ value you assign. If he hits his spending limit (in number of bids) then no more bids are placed, even if the current price is below your ‘Maximum Price’ value.

What happens to BidBuddy bids that don´t get used?

Bids used by your BidBuddies are only deducted from your account as they are actually used. Note that this may result in some BidBuddies not functioning if another BidBuddy ‘spends’ all of your available bids. Always make sure to have enough bids stocked up in your account to fulfill the mission of each of your BidBuddies.

   Bidbuddy , Or Autobid is a feature that was developed by our senior coders to enable a user to bid without being on the computer. Simply enter the Bid From amount ( the amount you want to start you’re BidBuddy/Autobidder) and the  " Bid To" amount ( the amount you want BidBuddy or "Autobid" to stop bidding "  Then enter the  " # of bids" which is the number of bids you want to use during your bidding process and you are set to go. You do not have to be in front of the computer to win an auction. Take the dog for a walk, go to the pharmacy, go to the beach. Go to sleep. Let BidBuddy do the work for you. Bidserk runs some of the fastest servers available on the interent to ensure minimal lag time. If you are experiancing lag, or slow bidding times then we reccomend you close all applications that are connected to the web. For example any P2P software you might be running,  Limewire or itunes , those programs should be closed. Ultimatley we reccomend you are using a High speed internet connection with a minimum being DSL. We often get asked by people how to improve their chances of winning an auction on Bidserk.

There’s no "sure-fire" winning strategy, but here are a few tips to help you get started, as well as a few of the traps that novice bidders sometimes fall into.

Place your bid late
Watch the countdown and try to jump in and bid in the last few seconds. If the timer has reached the last few seconds, you know that it will end unless another bid is placed.  (Don’t leave it too late though, or you might miss out)

Start with the cheapest products
Although you can get some incredible bargains on our most expensive items, they also tend to be the most competitive auctions, attracting hundreds of bidders. Our cheaper products tend to have fewer bidders, meaning you’re much more likely to win.

Use the BidBuddy to your advantage
The BidBuddy is a powerful tool, if you get the timing right you can scare off other bidders by placing one. Nobody likes to see their bids matched over and over again by your all conquering BidBuddy, you might just persuade them to give up and try again next time.

Turn their BidBuddys against them
On the other hand, some people have a ‘fire and forget’ policy with the BidBuddy. It is easy to swoop in and win with a quick single bid if your rival has gone to make a cup of coffee safe in the knowledge that their BidBuddy will protect them.
We’ve noticed that users tend to set the ‘Bid To’ value of their BidBuddys to a round number, so watch out for this and you might be able to snap up a bargain by simply clicking on the “Bid” button when a BidBuddy has just finished.

Keep an eye on what other bidders are up to
You can see the details of the last ten bids placed: try to work out who’s bidding and when they’re bidding. It’s all about timing, so maybe you can work out when the right time is to jump in and grab the lot.

Scout out the competition
Look and see how many different bidders have recently bid on an auction. You’re more likely to win if there are fewer bidders interested in the item than if there are lots of competing bidders.

Bid at the right time of day
The number of bidders varies throughout the day – smart bidders can use this to pick up bargains by bidding when others are busy having breakfast or taking the dog for a walk.

Fine-tune your BidBuddy
If you use the BidBuddy to bid on your behalf, it’s best not to set your ‘Bid To’ value to a round number – other bidders will be watching out.

We've created “My Bidserk” for registered users so that you can keep track of all the auctions you’ve bid on that are still running, as well as those you’ve asked to watch.

Simply click on 'My Bidserk' and select 'My auctions' for all auctions that you have placed a bid on, or 'My Watched Auctions' for auctions that you want to watch.

You can view the bids that you've placed most recently under 'Bid history' on the right hand side of the auction detail page, just under the BidBuddy Auction,

 You can see a full bid history under Bid Account ('My Bidserk' -> 'Account' -> 'Bid account') by clicking on the '+' sign alongside every auction.

You can see the Auto Bids  that you have booked on a specific item on the auction detail page. Simply click on the 'Auto Bids  overview' tab next to the 'Book Auto Bid  ' tab in the Auto Bid section.

To see all of your currently planned  Auto Bid across all auctions, go to 'My Auto Bid ' under 'My Bidserk  -> 'Auctions'. Remember, these are only your planned Auto Bids  and do not show Auto Bids  that have already been placed."

 To see who's bidding on an auction, just look under 'Bid history' to see a list of the most recent bidders on that auction and the type of bid they placed.

• Look at the bid history, check the number of bidders on the auction and the type of bid placed. If there are only single bids, try placing a Auto Bid , a Auto Bid  can not only save you bids, but also help you to become the highest bidder.
• Try looking for a similar auction with fewer bidders, you can often find a similar product on auction at the same time with fewer users. You could pick up a bargain without needing to place as many bids

We typicaly pause all auctions after buisness hours. The auctions will resume the following morning at 7AM Central time.  The only auctions that we do not pause are  "Night Auctions", those run 24/7.

A cent auction, or Penny auction. Is when the price of the auction will increese .01 for every bid placed.

Night Time auctions are auctions which will run 24 hours a day and will not be paused at night time.

The 100% off auction is an auction where the user will not pay the acutall ended auction price. So for example if you winn a Nintendo Wii at 50$ you would not pay that 50$, you would just pay for the bids you used.

We occasionally give away different types of coupons to make your Bidserk bargains even better value. Here’s an overview of some of the different coupons that are available:

Coupons for new customers
As our special way of saying hello, we give all of our new customers a Welcome coupon. Welcome coupons can be redeemed against the final price of an auction that you've won, not against the purchase of BidPacks, or delivery charges. Welcome coupons can be used with all auctions, and can only be used up to their expiry date.

Coupons linked to special offers
We sometimes give away other coupons, for example in return for completing surveys or during “happy hours” on the site. These coupons may have specific restrictions and always have an expiry date. Just like Welcome coupons, they can only be used against the final price of an auction that you’ve won.

Redeeming your coupons

Once you've won an auction, you'll automatically be transferred to a confirmation page where you'll be able to enter your coupon code. Don't forget to redeem your coupon, as once you've confirmed your win you'll no longer be able to use it. Please note, that if you use a coupon with a value that exceeds the auction end price, the remaining coupon credit will expire.

Very occasionally, users tell us that even though they bid before the countdown ended, their bids did not get placed and the auction ends. In these instances, the most likely explanation is so-called "Internet lag times". These are time-delays in the transfer of data between your PC and our servers. Mostly those delays (lags) occur because single parts of the internet connection are overloaded.

This, unfortunately, is a general problem with the internet.

There are a few ways of helping minimize this problem:

• While bidding on Bidserk do not download large data such as video or audio files from the internet.
• Don't send emails with large attachments while bidding on Bidserk.
• Make sure that no other users such as family members, etc. are using the internet while you are bidding.

We're very sorry if your bid wasn't registered by the AutoBid  servers in time. To be absolutely certain that you avoid the problem of "Internet lag times" don't leave your bidding until the last second, or use the Autobid  to place your bids. You can find further information in our Terms

It might be that your email program shows the link in your registration mail as faulty. If this happens, just copy the complete link in to the address line of your internet browser and press 'Enter'. If this doesn't work, please get in touch with our customer service team, letting us know the email address that you used to register.
